THE RUM BAR AT THE HOOK
The Hook & Line's home, was once known as Royal William Victualling Yard, the major depot for food and stores for the Royal Navy, built between 1826 and 1835. Until 1970, sailors on Royal Navy ships, were given a rum ration, or tot. An eighth of an imperial pint was swigged each day at midday.
In honour of this tradition and true to our naval roots, the Hook & Line is leading Plymouth's rum revival. We're serving a selection of the finest rums, sourced on our doorstep and from around the globe and mixing the best rum cocktails in Plymouth. From the traditional to right now and everything in between, join the celebration of this nautical spirit.
